Psychology Graduate Sought for Barnet Secondary School SEND Teaching Assistant We are looking for a Psychology Graduate who is keen to gain experience alongside vulnerable students by working as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a Secondary School setting in Barnet. Psychology Graduate First-Class Degree Holder Working with primary SEND pupils in KS3/4 Secondary School in Barnet, North London SEND Teaching Assistant job starting Immediately Psychology Graduate Support vulnerable pupils who have complex learning needs The successful Psychology Graduate will perform a dual role (part 1:1 and part group SEND) to support students with a variety of needs including Anxiety. This Psychology Graduate position is the perfect role for an aspiring Clinical or Educational Psychologist. The SEND Teaching Assistant role will provide you with essential paid experience to extend your professional development of working with vulnerable and at risk children. The school has a number of students who are classed as vulnerable and one part of the role will require you to provide 1:1 support to students in class. You will also work with other SEND children in the schools inclusion centre. The Psychology Graduate will need to provide a range of techniques to engage students and motivate them with learning. Specialist Anxiety Awareness training will be provided. The school is found in Barnet, North London, its a fantastic school with a staff team who have worked together for many years. The school receives weekly visits from an Educational Psychologist, Qualified Speech and Language Therapist and from an SEN Support Professional so you will have the opportunity to spend time alongside these specialists.
