This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong operational relationships while ensuring projects are delivered with robust financial control. You will oversee a portfolio of reactive and planned works, ensuring commercial performance, compliance, and contractual excellence. This position offers significant autonomy, influence, and the opportunity to shape long-term commercial strategy. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial function for a responsive maintenance portfolio. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs. Drive cost management, value optimisation, forecasting, and accurate reporting. Oversee subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal governance. Build strong client relationships and support long-term partnership growth. Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing proactive strategies. About You Proven experience as a Senior or Managing QS within responsive repairs , maintenance , social housing , or similar fast-turnover environments. Strong leadership and team-development capability. Ability to manage commercial performance across multiple workstreams. Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills. Strong contractual knowledge (preferably NEC or similar).
