Job Title: MSAT Technical Standards ManagerLocation: Barnard Castle (Onsite) Contract Type: PermanentAbout the RoleAs MSAT Technical Standards Manager, you will lead a team of specialists at Barnard Castle, ensuring consistent application of global technical standards across legacy products and new product introductions. Key focus areas include:Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)Cleaning Validation and Contamination ControlVisual InspectionSingle Use Systems (SUS)Extractables & Leachables (E&L)You will provide technical leadership, promote knowledge transfer through coaching, and oversee risk management and compliance for the site MSAT team. This role also maintains an indirect reporting line to the MSAT Business Process, Standards, and External Manufacturing organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of specialists, fostering professional growth and ensuring delivery of technical excellence.Capability Building: Develop training programmes and coach specialists to maintain site capability in core MSAT standards.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Barnard Castle SLT, quality functions, operations teams, and global MSAT teams to align priorities and implement standards.Governance & Oversight: Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and ensure effective risk management and compliance.Alignment with Global Standards: Ensure site practices align with global MSAT standards, supporting key projects and initiatives.Regulatory Knowledge & Innovation: Stay current on global regulations, inspection intelligence, and industry standards while driving innovation.Why You?Basic Qualifications & Skills:MSc in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline.Expertise in one or more areas: cleaning validation lifecycle, process validation lifecycle, contamination control, visual inspection, or single-use systems.Significant experience applying technical standards in these areas.Strong technical writing and communication skills.Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.Preferred Qualifications & Skills:PhD in a scientific discipline.Risk/Project Management experience (Prince2, PMP preferred).Strategic thinking and planning skills.Ability to lead and motivate teams.Attention to detail and commitment to quality.Proficiency in digital tools and technologies.Innovative mindset and ability to drive change.Knowledge of internal and external quality and EHS requirements.
