Job Description Senior Quantity Surveyor - North MidlandsAre you ready to join a dynamic team driving excellence in house building? We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our North Midlands region who will contribute to delivering high-quality residential developments. The role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard, while maintaining adherence to the companys Health and Safety policies. You will be responsible for procurement, cost planning, cost control, and general commercial oversight throughout the development process, helping to drive profitability and efficiency across all projects.The Role -Increase Trade Contractor BaseIdentify new Trade Contractor partners and maintain strong relationships with existing contractorsResolve issues proactively to ensure smooth project deliveryAll-Risk ProcurementTender for all-risk Road, Sewers, and Plot worksPerform measurement Take-Offs for Brickwork and Joinery labour worksCost Management and ReportingCompile and present site start budgets to the Commercial ManagerCreate subcontract tender comparisons for sign-offCompile accurate costs to complete valuations and periodic reportingManage payment of trade contractors and agree variation valuesUphold the company's no order, no payment policyCost ControlAttend regular site visits and perform re-measurement of work on site where necessaryRaise orders prior to management sign-off with appropriate documentationAbout you -ONC, HNC (or equivalent) or qualified by experienceHND or Degree qualified (desirable)Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a house building environmentAbility to work independently and remotelyStrong communication and influencing skillsExcellent numeracy and analytical abilitiesAbility to read and interpret specifications and working architectural drawingsCommercial awareness and effective time managementConfident negotiator and excellent communicatorHighly motivated, resilient, and results-drivenAbility to build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholdersWe believe Harron Homes is a place for everyone, no matter where you come from, what you look like or how you identify.Please note due to the volume of applicants, if you have not heard from us within 14 days, please accept this as confirmation that we will not be progressing with your application further on this occasion.
