General Foreman / Works Manager - Banwell Bypass Location: Banwell, North Somerset Contract: 12 Month Minimum Start: ASAP Sector: Civils / Highways / Drainage Employer: Morson Talent Overview Morson Talent are recruiting for an experienced General Foreman / Works Manager to join a major infrastructure project on the Banwell Bypass. This is a long term contract role working with a leading civil engineering contractor, overseeing key elements of earthworks, drainage, structures and highways delivery. This position is ideal for a hands on supervisor with strong civils experience who can manage site operations, coordinate gangs and subcontractors, and maintain a high standard of safety and productivity on a fast moving scheme. Key Responsibilities Oversee day to day site operations across civils, drainage and roadworks packages Supervise direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely and to programme Support Site Agent and Project Manager with sequencing, RAMS, permits and daily briefings Drive quality assurance and compliance with project specifications Monitor progress, raise issues early, and assist in resolving onsite challenges Maintain accurate site records, diaries and daily reports Enforce site safety culture, ensuring adherence to CDM, company procedures and client standards Required Experience & Qualifications Proven background as General Foreman, Works Manager or Site Supervisor on civils/highways projects Strong experience across earthworks, drainage, ducting and roads SSSTS or SMSTS (essential) CSCS Supervisor/Gold card NRSWA (desirable) Ability to coordinate multiple teams and maintain safe, efficient site operations Good communication, leadership and problem solving skills What is on Offer 12 month+ contract with strong likelihood of extension Opportunity to work on a major regional infrastructure scheme TPBN1_UKTJ
