Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential ContractorLocation: OxfordshireSalary: Up to £90,000 + Excellent PackageAbout the CompanyOur client is a leading residentially focused construction business delivering high-quality, complex developments across Oxfordshire and the surrounding regions. Projects range from large RC frame apartment schemes to traditional build housing, with values running into the tens of millions. They have an excellent reputation for delivering sustainable, innovative, and high-spec residential developments.The RoleWe are seeking a driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on major residential schemes. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management, procurement, and contractual administration, ensuring the successful financial delivery of projects. The role will suit an ambitious QS who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing both RC frame and traditional build projects.Key ResponsibilitiesFull commercial management of large-scale residential projects (RC frame apartments and traditional build homes).Oversee procurement strategies, tendering, and subcontractor management.Manage cost planning, valuations, variations, and final accounts.Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to senior management.Ensure projects are delivered within budget and aligned with programme objectives.Collaborate with site teams, design, and operations to drive value and efficiency.Apply knowledge of groundworks packages and their impact on programme and cost.Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.RequirementsProven track record as a Senior QS within the residential sector.Experience across RC frame apartment schemes and traditional build housing.Strong knowledge of groundworks and civil packages.Excellent contractual, negotiation, and communication skills.Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred).Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.BenefitsSalary up to £90,000 (dependent on experience).Excellent benefits package including car allowance, pension, and bonus.Opportunity to work on landmark schemes with a growing and forward-thinking contractor.Career progression and professional development support.
