An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Residential Conveyancer Solicitor, CILEX, CLC within the Property Department of a well-established law firm with an office base in Banbury, Oxfordshire.Immediate start, where possible.The successful candidate will carry out all aspects of residential conveyancing, along with supporting a small team to ensure that work is carried out in an expeditious manner, meeting the standards required by Lexcel and CQS. You will also develop business opportunities within the Property Department, working closely with the Head of Department and other team members.Job PurposeOversee and carry out all aspects of residential conveyancing including freehold and leasehold work, sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, right to buy, shared ownership, new plot purchases Support the Head of Department as and when required Develop business opportunities within the Property Department and build a strong teamWork in accordance with the Office Manual and policies of the Firm Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake residential conveyancing work on behalf of clients of the FirmSupervising and managing other Fee Earners and administration staff within the Firms structure and other staff as necessaryDealing with clients, intermediaries and HM Land Registry etc. both in person and over the telephoneFile management to the standards defined by the FirmEnsure budgets are managed and met Undertake file audits within the teamPro-active business development of self and Firm Undertake any reasonable instructions given by management within the limits of this employment description Undertake continuing competency training to include compulsory CQS trainingSupporting and reporting to the Head of Conveyancing Skills and ExperienceQualified Solicitor, CILEX or CLC, with a minimum of 3 years residential conveyancing experience, managing a caseload in sales, purchases, TOE, shared ownership and leaseholdExcellent interpersonal skillsBusiness development skills Good organisation and administration skillsAbility to be a team playerA sound knowledge of conveyancing procedures, xjdpvnf CQS Protocol and Anti-Money Laundering legislationExperience of Lexcel standard is desirableWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Case Management Systems experience of using Tikit is desirableYou may be required to work at the other offices of the Firm from time to time be as required by the management Driving license and use of own vehicle essentialBenefits35 hour working weekCompetitive salary up to 50k PA31 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)Holiday buy/sell schemeDeath in Service benefitFree onsite parkingHealthcare Cashback schemeApply below after reading through all the details and supporting information regarding this job opportunity.For more information or to discuss confidentially, please get in touch for a friendly chat.
