Job Description Power Electronics Engineer Automotive Inverters Location: [Bnabury, UK] Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our growing engineering team, working on the design and development of advanced automotive power electronics systems, including traction inverters and high-voltage power conversion technologies.This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge electrification projects within the rapidly evolving automotive industry.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop automotive power electronics systems, including traction inverters and high-power DC-DC convertersCreate and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using Altium DesignerPerform circuit simulation, analysis, and component selection for high-voltage and high-current applicationsSupport prototype development, testing, and validation of power electronics hardwareCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, mechanical, and systems engineersEnsure designs meet automotive standards, reliability, and safety requirementsAssist with debugging, performance optimization, and product improvement activitiesRequired QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience designing power electronics hardwareProficiency using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layoutStrong understanding of power conversion topologies, switching devices, and control methodsExperience with high-voltage or automotive electronics systemsKnowledge of testing and validation techniques for power electronicsDesirable SkillsExperience with automotive traction inverters or motor drive systemsFamiliarity with SiC / GaN power devicesExperience with thermal design, EMC/EMI mitigation, and reliability analysisUnderstanding of automotive development processes and standardsWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on next-generation electrified vehicle technologiesCollaborative engineering environmentCompetitive salary and benefits packageCareer development and technical growth opportunitiesApplyIf you are passionate about power electronics and automotive electrification, we would love to hear from you.
