The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of operatives, ensuring Health & Safety regulations are strictly followed, quality standards are upheld and production targets are met This is a hands-on supervisory role suited to individuals with strong leadership skills and a background in manufacturing or assembly environments.Job Title|Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor. Location|Banbridge Hours|Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm Salary|Competitive Depending on Experience Responsible to|Site Manager Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and enforce Health & Safety regulations, including carrying out risk assessments and incident reporting. Supervise and coordinate the activities of assembly line workers (direct and sub-contractor) to meet daily and weekly production targets. Ensure that assembled products meet quality standards and specifications. Monitor inventory levels of parts and materials, and liaise with procurement or stores to ensure adequate supply. Train new staff and conduct regular refresher training for existing team members. Work with engineering and quality control teams to resolve any production or technical issues. Monitor and report on performance metrics such as output, efficiency, downtime, and rework rates. Lead daily briefings and participate in continuous improvement (e.g. 5S, Lean, Kaizen) initiatives. Maintain accurate production and personnel records. Provide feedback to staff and support performance appraisals and development plans.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEssential CriteriaGCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (minimum). Proven experience in a similar supervisory or team leader role within an assembly/manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of assembly processes and equipment. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Good understanding of health and safety regulations. Competent in using production management systems and Microsoft Office tools. Desirable CriteriaExperience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. NVQ Level 3 in Manufacturing/Engineering or equivalent is desirable.
