Your role will combine hands-on clinical responsibilities with strategic leadership, helping us uphold the highest regulatory standards and continuously improve our services.Key Responsibilities:Lead a talented clinical team, shaping treatment services based on best-practice, evidence-based care.Oversee a defined patient caseload and ensure outstanding psychiatric care across the hospital.Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, high-quality services.Mentor and support fellow Consultant Psychiatrists through clinical supervision, appraisal, and revalidation.Champion a culture of professional growth, learning, and innovation.Play an active role in quality improvement initiatives, audits, CPD, and research.What Youll Need:Qualifications:GMC RegistrationSection 12(2) ApprovedApproved Clinician StatusMRCPsych and in good CPD standingExperience:Minimum 5 years in-patient psychiatry experienceExperience in Psychiatric Intensive Care and/or Acute ServicesProven clinical leadership and decision-making skillsSkills:In-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA) & Mental Capacity Act (MCA)Excellent communication and organisational abilitiesStrong understanding of in-patient psychiatric best practicesWorking Hours:Monday to Friday, 9am 5pmReady to take the next step in your psychiatry career with a team that values leadership, learning, and compassion?Apply today or request the full job description to learn more.Be the leader who makes a lasting differenceat Baldock Manor.IND2About UsBaldock Manor is a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire that provides specialising psychiatric services for adults. The hospital has two female PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care) wards and two acute wards. Our PICU services provide care and support for women at crisis level with a severe mental disorder who require rapid assessment and stabilisation. Our acute wards care for older adults, usually 55 years or older, who need a short-term hospital stay, where we can stabilise their mental health.
