Job Description Supported Accommodation Team Leader Childrens Residential HomeLocation: Bagnall, Stoke-on-Trent ST9Salary: 34,000 per annum (inclusive of sleep-in allowance based on 10 sleeps per month)Hours: 40 hours per weekShift Pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off3-Bed Childrens HomeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader to join a 3-bed childrens supported accommodation service in Stoke-on-Trent. The home is currently supporting 1 young person and is registered for up to 3 young people.This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people to develop independence, life skills, and positive outcomes in a safe and supportive environment.The RoleAs Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the supported accommodation service, providing leadership and guidance to a team of support workers while ensuring the young people receive high-quality care and support.You will play a key role in promoting independence, wellbeing and personal development while ensuring the service meets safeguarding, regulatory and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise a team of support workers to ensure high-quality support deliverySupport the development and implementation of individual support and pathway plansPromote independence and life skills development for young peopleEnsure accurate and up-to-date records and reports are maintainedContribute to team meetings, supervision and staff developmentWork collaboratively with social workers, families and external professionalsParticipate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to care planningEnsure the home meets health & safety and safeguarding standardsSupport the creation of a safe, positive and therapeutic environmentRequirementsWe are looking for candidates who have:Experience working with children or young people in residential or supported accommodation settingsExperience leading or supervising a teamStrong understanding of safeguarding and child protectionAbility to support young people with complex behaviours and trauma-informed approachesGood organisational and communication skillsA positive, resilient and proactive approachDesirable:Level 4/5 Diploma in Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards)Experience working with looked-after childrenPersonal QualitiesSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:Strong leadership and team support skillsHigh emotional intelligence and empathyResilience and ability to manage challenging situationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young peopleAdditional RequirementsFull UK Driving LicenceFlexibility to work shifts including sleep-insAbility to travel where requiredSafeguardingThis role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
