Join Our Team as an Installation and Field Service Engineer at Avidity Science!Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for delivering exceptional service and technical solutions? Avidity Science is looking for a dedicated Installation and Field Service Engineer to join our growing team, supporting water treatment and laboratory equipment installations across the UK.To be considered for this role, you will need to live within a 30 mile radius from our Long Crendon (HP18 9BA) facility; you'll need to frequently attend parts and equipment to prepare for the next project.Why Avidity Science?Competitive Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 dependant on experience, with a discretionary bonus scheme.Comprehensive Benefits: Company vehicle, 25 days holiday, pension contributions matched up to 8% of basic salary, private healthcare, and more.Career Development: Work on diverse projects across healthcare, research, and community sectors.Supportive Culture: Be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.Your RoleAs an Installation and Field Service Engineer, you will:Commission and install water treatment and laboratory equipment.Carry out mechanical, electrical, and water pipework installations and maintenance.Support refurbishment and development projects in public, private, and research institutions.Provide technical assistance and after-sales support to customers.Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency response visits.Deliver customer handovers, including instruction and demonstration.Maintain accurate documentation and manage car stock inventory.Collaborate daily with our Service and Projects team.Follow all Health and Safety procedures.What We’re Looking ForExperience: Proven technical experience in mechanical/electrical repairs and installations. Plumbing and pipework experience is a distinct advantage.Background: Previous field-based engineering or technical support experience preferred.Flexibility: Willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays (up to 5 days at a time), and work occasional weekends/public holidays.Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills. A professional and customer-focused approach is essential.Requirements: Full UK driving licence.
