Academics are currently supporting a specialist SEMH provision in Aylesbury that is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team on a temporary basis starting as soon as possible. As a Teaching Assistant , you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them to develop confidence, build positive relationships, and re-engage with learning. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support, manage behaviour effectively, and create a safe and nurturing environment for every learner. Key Responsibilities: Support students with SEMH and associated learning needs in both 1:1 and small group settings. Assist with implementing behaviour and learning strategies. Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere. Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals to support student progress. The ideal Teaching Assistant will: Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs. Remain calm and patient in challenging situations. Be committed to supporting every child's emotional and academic development. Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
