Youll be coaching and motivating your team to make every step of the first-class Delivery Centre, so we keep making amazing happen for our customers. Youll believe in getting things right first time for our customers and love delivering the best customer service, getting a buzz out of resolving logistical and practical challenges. Its a great feeling, one youll get to experience often.Role overview:As part of this role, youll be responsible for: Overseeing the running of the site, staffing and other resourcesMotivating a team of delivery drivers, warehouse teams and support colleagues to deliver on targetsProviding regular and consistent performance feedbackInfluencing operational decisionsWorking closely with other internal/external departments to ensure smooth-running operationCommunicating with and deputising for Operations Manager, working cross functionally and supporting different work area teams as requiredCreating a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety policiesPeople skills are one thing, but youll go a step further here by providing mentoring that puts performance improvement first. You wont stop in your pursuit of the best, for your team, the business and yourself. Our future and your future, youll take charge of them both.You will need:Proven recent experience of leading teams, applying a range of leadership styles, techniques, and coaching methodsA track record of developing teams to achieve customer-focused resultsStrong organisational skills to implement team and operational plans, prioritise workloads, and translate goals into actionable outcomesExcellent communication skills to liaise with different departments and clearly convey expectations and quality standardsIdeally, experience working in a logistics or transport environmentWe know our people are the secret to our success.
