Production ManagerPurpose of the Job:Planning and Scheduling: Plan, schedule and oversee daily, weekly and monthly manufacturing activities to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.Production Oversight: Allocate resources to meet manufacturing KPI’s.Team Leadership: Lead, motivate and develop a team of ~30 production staff.Process Improvement: Monitor and improve performance of manufacturing and foster a culture of continuous improvementQuality Assurance: Ensure all products are manufactured to the required standards, specifications and quality levels.Duties & Responsibilities:* Develop and manage challenging yet achievable production plans for all Raytec product ranges, ensuring optimal allocation of work to individuals and teams in Security, Hazardous, and other production areas to meet customer demand.* Supervise and line manage production operatives and team leaders, conducting 1:1s, appraisals, and fostering cross-skilling to enhance workforce flexibility.* Measure, Communicate and Improve manufacturing metrics.* Liaise with the sales department to date future orders and communicate current lead times.* Work with quality and engineering to resolve issues and implement changes.* Maintain compliance with standards such as ISO9001 and ISO14001 in production and dispatch areas.* Enforce housekeeping rules and health 'safety requirements.* Identify and propos...
