This Bookkeeping and VAT Manager role offers the chance to take ownership of a team, with strong potential for a long-term management role within the firm. Lead and manage a small, energetic team of junior staff Oversee workflow and ensure deadlines are consistently met Review and prepare VAT returns (1015 per cycle) Conduct 80100 VAT reviews with accuracy and efficiency Ensure all VAT submissions are completed on time Support bookkeeping activities using Xero and QuickBooks Maintain high standards across all client work This is a fast-paced environment where organisation and leadership are key. What we are looking forThe ideal Bookkeeping and VAT Manager will be confident, organised, and capable of leading from the front. Proven experience preparing and reviewing high volume VAT returns Strong bookkeeping knowledge (Xero and QuickBooks essential) Experience managing or mentoring junior team members Ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines Confident communicator with a proactive mindset Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment Strong organisational and time management skills What's in it for youThis Bookkeeping and VAT Manager role offers not just a job, but real career progression and a supportive working culture.
