Job Description Responsive Repairs Planning Supervisor Kent Council Client 42,000 per annum 37 hours per week Permanent Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Kent for a Responsive Repairs Planning Supervisor to join their Housing Operations team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing repairs professional to lead the back-office planning and scheduling function of a busy responsive repairs service. Overview of the role You will be responsible for managing the Repairs Team back-office functions, ensuring jobs are scheduled efficiently, monitored effectively, and delivered within required timescales and KPIs. The role will oversee work in progress, invoicing, contractor performance, damp & mould cases (including Awaabs Law compliance), disrepair case preparation, and digital system improvements. You will directly manage Customer Service Agents and administrative staff while working closely with the Operations Manager and Front Office Team Leader to ensure a smooth end-to-end repairs journey for residents. ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the responsive repairs back-office teamOversee scheduling, automation and manual planning functionsMonitor KPIs, WIP and productivity trendsIdentify service improvements and implement solutionsManage contractor performance, hold review meetings and track KPIsOversee damp & mould cases and ensure compliance with Awaabs LawSupport disrepair case preparation and evidence gatheringEnsure contractor invoices are validated and processed correctlyDrive digital transformation and system improvementsProduce performance reports for senior managementRequirementsProven experience within social housing responsive repairsPrevious team leader / supervisory experienceStrong understanding of repairs scheduling and WIP managementExperience managing contractor performanceExcellent analytical skills with strong Excel knowledgeExperience using housing management systems (MRI, Orchard, Northgate or similar)Understanding of disrepair and damp & mould processesKnowledge of health 'safety and contractor complianceThis is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability within a forward-thinking Housing Service.
