Job Description About DigbyDigby Fine English is one of the UKs leading producers of luxury English sparkling wine. The English sparkling wine industry is one of the fastest growing wine regions in the world, and Digby is at the forefront of this movement. Based in Arundel, West Sussex, we own and work with some of the countrys best vineyards to produce internationally recognised sparkling wines.The RoleAs we continue to grow, we are looking for an Operations Supervisor to help coordinate production,logistics and stock management across our winery and partner facilities.Key Responsibilities:Production & Supplier Coordination:Coordinate secondary winemaking activities including lees ageing, riddling, disgorging and labelling with outsourced partnersMaintain quality, consistency and delivery timelinesManage supplier communication and work ordersLogistics & DispatchOccasional labelling and packaging of sparkling wine for special ordersDispatching regular pallets of wine for trade ordersDispatching regular small ordersLogistics: Managing the relationship with our courier and delivery partnersStock data and systems management: Record keeping of goods received, goods despatched, and work orders performedStock & Systems:Maintain accurate stock and production recordsTrack goods received, work orders, goods despatchedMonitor and maintain dry goods stock levels and oversee procurementOperational planning:Support production planning and capacity managementWork with sales on dispatch planningOccasional duties arising, for exampleOther administration: sales and finance administration on occasionHelping with event logisticsAssisting with vineyard logistics coordinationSkills & Experience:Highly organised with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple task and priorities in a fast-moving, customer-centric environmentFocus on achieving world-class quality and customer service at all stages of operationsWillingness to learn on the jobPositive and proactive attitude when it comes to problem solvingEngaging teamwork as a key member of a small teamComfortable learning new IT systems and exploring potential of AIMicrosoft Office & Google Workspace proficientClean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle essentialPrior wine industry experience helpful but not requiredForklift driving certification helpful but not requiredAbility to lift and handle cases of wine up to 25 kgLocation This role is based at our headquarters at 55-57 High Street, Arundel, BN18 9AJ, and also at our winery just outside Arundel: Madehurst Winery, Madehurst Road, Black Barn Farm, Madehurst, West Sussex BN18 0NJWorking HoursMonday to Friday 8:30 5:00, with a half hour for lunchWorking patterns under consideration.
