This role is ideal for someone who wants real ownership, variety, and visibility at group level.The RoleAs Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance function, monthly reporting, and providing commercial insight to senior management. You will also lead a team of two Finance Assistants and play a key part in driving process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesWeeklyMaintain the purchase ledger and produce weekly creditors and bank reconciliation reportsProcess Accounts Payable invoices, ensuring accurate project allocationUpdate weekly Financial and Non-Financial KPI trackers and present them at group levelLine management of two Finance AssistantsMonthlyDownload and process sales invoicesReconcile multiple bank accountsComplete and present full month-end accounts (including stock journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets) at group levelDeliver monthly/YTD P&L and EBITDA analysis with clear variance commentaryUpdate, distribute, and present monthly KPIsRun payroll via Sage 50 Payroll, including FPS/NEST submissions and handling queriesPrepare cash flow and sales forecastsManage order book reporting using quotation and live order dataComplete ONS surveys and statutory returns as requiredAd HocProvide analytical and financial reporting support to managementLiaise with external accountants to ensure accurate statutory submissionsSupport the development of the group reporting function as new requirements emergeCarry out any reasonable duties required by the company or groupSkills & Attributes RequiredStrong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and PayrollHigh proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including data cleaning and transformationExceptional accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work proactively and independently, managing deadlines confidentlyStrong communication skills for collaboration across teams and with external accountantsWhy Join?
