Electronics Repair Engineer Location: Alva Salary: 32,000 36,000 per annum (DOE) Vacancy Type: Permanent Our client is committed to providing expert advice, quality products and services to help you achieve the results you need. They can also train your staff, validate the performance, assist with method development and service your instrumentation. All these services are backed up by their free telephone support. The Role They are looking for a talented Electronics Repair Engineer to join their growing laboratory instrument service and support team. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role, working on a wide range of laboratory instruments. You will be responsible for refurbishing, testing, calibrating, repairing and maintaining laboratory equipment to a high standard. The role requires strong technical ability combined with problem-solving skills, working within a team that values expertise and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Refurbish, configure and test laboratory instruments Diagnose faults and carry out component or sub-assembly level repairs Calibrate instruments to exacting standards Work from technical drawings, manuals and SOPs Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace Prepare instruments for online sales Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies Skilled in using calibration and diagnostic equipment Confident in reading and interpreting circuit diagrams and technical drawings Logical and methodical problem-solving skills Good IT skills and accurate record keeping Strong communication and teamwork ONC/HNC, NVQ or equivalent in Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics or a related field Experience in equipment servicing, repair or calibration of laboratory or medical equipment (Desirable) Candidates with transferable technical skills from related fields are encouraged to apply Benefits Competitive salary with bonus potential Private medical insurance Full training with mentoring from experienced engineers Opportunities to develop specialist skills across a wide range of laboratory instruments A well-equipped workshop where quality is the priority To Apply If you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for this reputable company, please do not hesitate to apply.
