Job Description Sales Estimator Alfreton, Derbyshire Specialist Steel Fabrication Contractor 40,000 50,000 per annum (DOE) Full-time PermanentService Care Solutions are working with a well-established, family-owned steel fabrication contractor based in Alfreton, Derbyshire. With a strong reputation in the fabrication and installation of industrial chimneys, flue systems, and bespoke secondary and modular steelwork, they are now looking to recruit a proactive and detail-focused Sales Estimator to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in pricing and securing complex and technically interesting projects across the UK and overseas. Responsibilities As Sales Estimator, you will be at the forefront of new business activity, translating technical drawings and specifications into commercially viable and accurately priced proposals. Your duties will include:Reviewing tender enquiries and detailed project specificationsTaking off steelwork quantities from engineering drawingsPreparing accurate and timely cost estimates and formal quotationsLiaising with clients to clarify technical and commercial requirementsCollaborating with production and contracts teams to confirm pricing, materials, and lead timesMaintaining accurate records of submitted bids and tracking outcomesSupporting follow-up discussions to convert quotations into secured contractsYou will work closely with senior leadership, operations, and clients to ensure bids are competitive, realistic, and aligned with the companys reputation for quality and reliability. Requirements We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within structural or industrial steelwork environments, ideally with exposure to chimneys, flues, or modular steelwork.
