Job Description ESG Lead Risk & Reporting Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon (with UK & occasional international travel) Full-time | 40 hours per weekMM Flowers is seeking an experienced ESG Lead Risk & Reporting to play a critical role in the evolution of our ESG strategy and governance framework.This is a high-impact position responsible for leading our ESG reporting, disclosure governance, and risk management integration, ensuring high-quality, audit-ready disclosures aligned to evolving global standards. You will strengthen ESG oversight across the organisation and embed risk practices that enhance resilience, inform strategic decision-making, and drive long-term sustainable value creation. The OpportunityReporting to the Head of ESG, you will act as the technical lead for ESG reporting while integrating ESG risk into our enterprise governance frameworks.This role offers the opportunity to influence at senior level and shape how ESG risk and reporting supports our long-term business strategy. Key ResponsibilitiesESG Reporting & DisclosuresLead ESG reporting and disclosures across MM Flowers, including engagement with shareholders, suppliers, and retail customersPrepare the annual integrated report and wider ESG disclosuresEnsure alignment with frameworks and regulations including TCFD, TNFD, ISSB and CSRDEstablish and maintain robust ESG data governance, controls and audit trailsDevelop ESG dashboards, KPIs and performance reportingCoordinate cross-functional data collection processesSupport external assurance (limited and reasonable assurance readiness)Monitor emerging ESG standards and translate them into practical reporting processesESG Governance & Risk IntegrationAdvise senior management on ESG regulatory developments and disclosure obligationsEmbed ESG risks and opportunities within the enterprise risk management frameworkIntegrate ESG considerations into strategy, scenario analysis, capital allocation and business continuity planningStrengthen governance frameworks to enhance long-term resilience and value creationPromote strong ESG risk culture and ensure consistency between oversight, controls and disclosuresWider Corporate Governance SupportSupport maintenance and enhancement of the corporate risk registerPartner with the Company Secretary to ensure adherence to governance codes and best practiceEnhance risk governance frameworks to support agility and resiliencePromote strong disclosure governance and accountability across the organisation About YouYou will bring:Strong experience in ESG reporting, sustainability disclosures or non-financial reportingExperience establishing ESG data controls and supporting external assuranceFamiliarity with enterprise risk management and governance reportingAdvanced stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and challengeExcellent written and verbal communication skills able to translate complex information into compelling narrativesExperience using data to generate insight and inform decisionsA track record of building strong internal relationshipsDesirableExperience within global cut flower production or perishable supply chainsExposure to retail customers or large corporate ESG data requestsProject management experience across cross-functional regulatory or reporting programmes What We ValueAt MM Flowers, we look for people who are:Trusted dependable, accountable and committed to high standardsPassionate enthusiastic and driven to deliver excellenceDynamic proactive, adaptable and solutions-focusedCollaborative building strong relationships and working together to succeedIf you are ready to shape ESG governance within a dynamic international business and drive meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.
