Stock Analyst

Job Description Were looking for a highly analytical and collaborative Stock Analyst to join our Supply Chain team at Westland Horticulture. In this role, youll be responsible for managing and optimising the finished goods demand plan across our UK distribution network.Youll play a key part in ensuring stock availability aligns with customer demand, working closely with sales, warehouses, and internal teams to maintain a smooth and efficient supply chain. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, manage, and track demand forecasts, including seasonal and promotional planningCollaborate with sales teams to align demand with supply and production plansAct as a key contact between sales and distribution teams, ensuring clear communication on stock availability and order statusReview and manage the order book daily, identifying risks and ensuring alignment with supply plansCoordinate stock allocation, partial holds, and inter-warehouse transfers to optimise availabilityCommunicate regularly with distribution sites to ensure accurate and timely stock flow informationIdentify and resolve issues relating to stock shortages, delays, and order discrepanciesSupport supply chain projects, including forecasting improvements and process automationConduct scenario planning to assess the impact of changes in demand or supplyProvide regular reporting on stock levels, fulfilment, and supply chain performanceSupport new product launches and product delists, ensuring smooth integration into supply plansAbout YouA strong communicator who can work effectively across multiple teamsProactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage challenges in a fast-paced environmentHighly organised, with strong attention to detail and analytical capabilityA team player who thrives in a collaborative settingAdaptable, with a positive, can-do attitudeSkills & ExperienceExperience in supply chain, demand planning, or inventory managementStrong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (D365 experience desirable)Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present data clearlyExperience working with cross-functional teams, particularly sales and warehouse operationsUnderstanding of order fulfilment and stock management processesPower BI experience is advantageousWhy Join Us?At Westland Horticulture, youll be part of a dynamic and growing business where your work has real impact.
