Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

We are currently recruiting for a Surveyor/Estimator to join our team. Successful applicant will be involved in the following duties reporting to Commercial Director: Estimating: Monitor planning authority websites to identify work opportunities Pursue opportunities to obtain tenders for pricing Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information is available to allow correct pricing Take off quantities from drawings Attend job sites to carry out surveys and clarify items on tender documents/drawings etc Pricing of joinerwork, decoration, small civils works Completion and submission of tenders Follow up of submitted tenders Post tender negotiations Surveying: Maintain contract documentation and advise on pre tender and post contract matters Liase with clients and design teams Sub-contract negotiations and letting Preparation and submission of interim valuations Site measurement Manage and value variations Agreement and certification of sub-contractor valuations and Final Accounts Successful candidate should have the following skills: Good commercial acumen Ability to work as part of a close knit management team, manage numerous activities/projects simultaneously Outgoing personality for dealing directly with clients etc Good negotiation skills Flexibility to work across different areas of the business Trainee/Assistant role with relevant experience would be considered TPBN1_UKTJ
