A Leading Infrastructure Contractor is looking for a Buyer to manage materials and plant procurement for a portfolio of rail projects, you will: Support a Procurement Manager in delivering various infrastructure project procurement strategies. Manage the day to day project procurement of materials and plant. Negotiate with suppliers for materials not covered by frameworks. Work with project teams to deliver procurement requirements. Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategies. Further Details A mixture of framework and project procurement to support regional rail and some small environmental projects. The role will be a mix of site based operational procurement and assisting the supply chain manager with strategic sourcing responsibilities. Candidate Requirements Minimum of 2 years operational procurement experience from any leading infrastructure contractor or subcontractor. Ideally you will currently be working as an assistant buyer or an experienced buyer who is looking for career progression. Strong negotiation, supplier management and communication skills.
