Job Description Role Summary:The HSE Lead (projects) is required to develop contract wide culture whereby contributors will execute the project with no harm to people or the environment. To ensure that all contract uncertainties are systematically identified, assessed, and proactively managed in order to maximise opportunities whilst managing possible threats. Build a culture of personal accountability where safe behaviours are re-enforced and at-risk behaviours are challenged.We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor (projects) to join our QHSE team in Aberdeen on a full-time, long-term contractor basis to oversee 2 key client contracts. This role is based in our office in Aberdeen on a flexible hybrid working model where 2 days per week can be worked remotely. Routine offshore visits will be required so candidates must have valid offshore certification.Previous experience in CDM would be advantageous but not mandatory. Suitable candidates must have demonstrable experience in a similar role within the Oil and Gas/Energy Sector and hold an investigation qualification along with ISO Lead Auditor to 45001,9001 or 14001 certification. An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.Responsibilities:Provide positive HSE leadership for all contracts on HSE issues and promote the adoption of HSE best practices and industry standardsPromote an enthusiastic HSE culture that delivers positive commitment and engages all personnel in continuous HSE performance improvementAttend Step change events as appropriateOffshore mobilisation work when required to support HSE functionProvide assistance and advice to Contract Managers on all aspects related to HSEContribute towards developing annual HSE Objectives for Contracts. Monitor and report on the implementation and effectivenessProduce HSE performance reports as requiredParticipate in Incident investigations, leading as necessary, ensuring that methods of investigation and reporting appropriate to the incident are utilised. Ensure that lessons are established and learned and shared with all stakeholdersRegular Interfacing / liaising with Clients, subcontractors and vendorsUndertake periodic reviews of environmental, health and safety systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and requirements and/or legislative requirementsReporting to management on the status and performance, environmental, health and safety systemsEnsuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements in relation to HSE to appropriate stakeholdersUndertake Internal AuditsExternal vendor audit and evaluationDevelopment, design and delivery of internal HSE workshopsDelivery of comprehensive Company HSE Inductions, ensuring induction is valid and up to date with Client information and Industry standardsUndertake tender review and preparation of documentation in a timely and accurate mannerOversee and undertake administration of environmental and health and safety systems ensuring details remain up to dateAssist when required with, Interfacing / liaising with formal certification body of Company (LRQA) and with those of Clients, as applicableResponsible for assisting with maintenance of internal and external audit programmes and for issue, control and close out of NCRsResponsible for ensuring the maintenance of environmental, and health and safety records, including Company KPIsCompilation of safety statisticsDevelop new HSE procedures for management of quality assurance, health and safety and environmental management systems or review in line with project change requirementsProcedure and document preparation and implementationAssist with HSE data for Management Review MeetingsComply at all times with Companys Environmental, Quality and Health and Safety at Work Act PoliciesAssist the Company in understanding legislative requirements and providing clear and concise advice on meeting these requirementsLiaise with all PD&MS Group staff both onshore and offshore and provide advice, guidance and support, on all aspects and matters concerning HSEHave responsibility for ensuring correct document storage as per the Company defined processes.Promote the external image of the Company through effective HSE managementProvide HSE support to the Projects / Contracts Management Team to ensure HSE complianceLiaise with clients, suppliers/subcontractors for the transmission of HSE information and advice, where appropriate, to ensure that they are made aware of the PD&MS Group policy towards HSEPromote and monitor compliance to the Company Integrated Management SystemAssist Projects with coordination and return of client required HSE InformationResponsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely mannerAdherence to the company integrated management systemCompliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policiesDemonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and lead by exampleEnsure unsafe activities are challengedAdherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systemsDemonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by exampleEnsure direct report performance reviews are carried out within the required timescales (where applicable)About YouQualifications:NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety or equivalentMembership, or working towards membership, of a role appropriate recognised professional body(preferred)ISO Lead Auditor to 45001,9001 or 14001Investigation qualification (kelvin Topset/Taproot or equivalent)Valid offshore certificationEducated to standard grade level or equivalent, with a pass in Maths & EnglishExperience / competence:Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining environmental, quality assurance and health and safety systemsPrevious experience in a similar roleKnowledge of QHSE Legislation, Codes and StandardsExperience of QHSE Management Systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 or equivalentExposure to QHSE Management Systems in line ISO/TS29001 and PED97/23/EC (preferred)Demonstrable experience of delivering a safe operation in the work environmentUnderstanding of contractual, commercial and cost issuesDemonstrable experience in conducting Audits and InvestigationsDemonstrable experience of working within, and contributing towards, a certified Management SystemDemonstrable experience of Risk Management and Incident InvestigationDemonstrable experience of training of others in HSE best practiceCompetent in the use of MS Office ApplicationsExperience in
