We are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a local authority who are seeking a highly experienced Interim Managing Director for a minimum six-month assignment, with the potential for extension.This is a pivotal leadership role focused on transformation, commercial strategy, and the transformation of a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo).Currently a joint venture property company between a LATCo and local council, the Council is requiring expert leadership to manage transformation effectively while maintaining service continuity and stakeholder confidence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the strategic and operational transformation of a LATCoOversee transformation programmes across the LATCo, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and community needsProvide commercial insight and leadership to optimise service delivery and value for moneyEngage with elected members, senior officers, and external partners to ensure a collaborative and transparent approachEnsure robust governance, risk management, and compliance throughout the transition processCandidate ProfileWe are seeking a senior leader with:Proven experience in leading complex organisational transformations within local government or public / private sectorDirect involvement in transformation of a LATCoStrong commercial acumen and strategic thinkingExcellent stakeholder engagement and political awarenessAbility to lead with clarity, resilience, and a commitment to public service values (TUPE oversight experience also desired)TermsContract Type: Interim (minimum 6 months) with the option to then consider permanentStart Date: As soon as possible for handoverLocation Please ask for further information (hybrid working available)Remuneration: CompetitiveIf this opportunity is of interest, please get in touch by close of play on Friday 12th September to arrange a confidential discussion.
