Job Description About the roleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced PSV Fitter to join our engineering team. This role involves carrying out mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Public Service Vehicles (PSVs), ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and fully compliant with industry standards.Key responsibilitiesCarry out routine maintenance, servicing, and mechanical repairs on PSV vehiclesDiagnose faults and perform effective repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, and suspensionConduct vehicle inspections in line with company policies and DVSA standardsPrepare vehicles for MOT and ensure ongoing roadworthinessRespond to vehicle breakdowns and carry out repairs as requiredComplete all job cards, service sheets, and maintenance records accuratelyEnsure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health & safety regulationsWork collaboratively with the engineering team to maximise fleet availabilityRequirementsProven experience as a PSV Fitter, HGV Technician, or similar roleStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsRelevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance and repair (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)Good understanding of PSV systems and componentsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamFlexible approach to shift work, including weekendsFull UK driving licence (PCV licence desirable but not essential)What we offerFull-time, stable hours (39 per week)Flexible shift pattern (any 5 days from 7)Ongoing training and career developmentSupportive and professional working environment
