This is a remote first consultant post, with occasional in person clinics in Worcester or Redditch. The role focuses on senior assessment, diagnostic clarity, medication governance and complex case decision making in Adult and Children & Young Peoples ADHD and Adult ASD pathways.You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including GPs, mental health nurses, pharmacists and specialist clinicians, supporting safe, evidence based care within a primary care led model.The successful candidate will be needed to work 1-2 PAs per week.Main duties of the jobSenior psychiatric assessment and diagnostic clarification for complex Adult and CYP ADHD presentationsConsultantlevel input into Adult and CYP ASD assessments requiring specialist expertiseOversight of medication initiation, titration and stabilisation in line with NICE NG87 & UKAAN guidanceClinical leadership in MDT meetings; supervision and advice to clinicians across the serviceGovernance contributions including audit, medicines management and incident reviewConsultant signoff for Shared Care readiness and communication with GP partnersPromote safe, effective remote psychiatric practice using EMIS and digital platformsAbout us Vertis Health is a GP owned organisation delivering high quality Adult and CYP Neurodevelopmental Services across Worcestershire.
