This is a handson delivery role, requiring someone who can take immediate ownership of payroll operations with minimal handover.Alongside endtoend payroll delivery, the role will play a key part in payroll system design, configuration, and process improvement. The organisation uses the Frontier payroll system; prior Frontier experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with strong transferable payroll systems experience will be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver accurate endtoend payroll processing in line with agreed timetablesTake immediate ownership of payroll delivery with minimal handoverEnsure ongoing compliance with payroll legislation, internal controls, and audit requirementsPlay a handson role in payroll system design and configuration, including:Reviewing the current system setup and payroll processesRedesigning workflows, controls, and system usageSupporting configuration changes and futurestate system designBalance businessasusual payroll delivery with active system and process improvementWork closely with HR, Finance, and key stakeholders to stabilise and enhance payroll operationsEssential ExperienceProven experience delivering endtoend payroll in a handson operational roleStrong experience in payroll systems configuration, redesign, or implementationComfortable working in pressured environments with limited handoverHighly deliveryfocused, pragmatic, and able to work autonomouslyDesirable ExperienceFrontier payroll system experienceExperience providing payroll cover during periods of sickness or organisational pressureBackground in medium to large organisationsPrevious interim or contract experience
