Daytona is renowned for championships, competitive open and endurance races, as well as corporate events, team building and childrens parties, welcoming drivers aged six and above for high-quality, professional karting experiences in well-maintained karts.WERE HIRING: HEAD MECHANIC/ WORKSHOP MANAGERWere looking for an experienced conscientious and responsible person to manage the busy workshop and our five fleets of go-karts.HOURS: Full time (Flexible, incl. evenings and weekends).LOCATION: Daytona Tamworth, Robeys Lane, Tamworth, B78 1AR.SALARY: 35,000 OTETHE ROLE:Supervising the service of the various kart fleetsMaintaining service recordsOrdering and managing stock and sparesManaging the engineering teamManaging kart performance & cleanlinessResponsible for the health and safety of the workshop and teamESSENTIAL SKILLS: Mechanical experience along with an understanding of engineering principlesKnowledge and experience of kart maintenance preferred but not essentialDemonstrable prior experience of working with budgets and forecastingAn understanding and compliance of statutory requirements with regards to Health and SafetyIT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, Excel & Outlook)Confidence in communicating with suppliers and colleagues across Daytona GroupPrevious experience from a supervisory or management positionPrior experience/knowledge of Sodikart, Birel, Biz and CRG products would be an advantageMust have own toolsExperience of maintaining stock and budget control xjdpvnf is essential, however, training will be providedA clean or near clean driving license preferredRight to work in the UKTHE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IS:Self-driven and results orientedCapable and experienced in managing a teamDedicated, reliable, tolerant and determinedAn individual with a keen eye for detailA motivator who takes pride in their work that is projected to the teamFlexible in working weekends and evenings as per the needs of the businessWell-presented, friendly, professional and keen for a new experienceResponsible and accountable
