Our marketplace connects buyers, sellers, and auctioneers across the collectibles world, supported by international partnerships in logistics, banking, and auction operations.We are seeking an experienced specialist in original comic art who can leverage their industry knowledge and professional network to secure significant consignments and cultivate relationships with collectors, artists, estates, and dealers. This is a commercially focused role centred on sourcing exceptional material and bringing it to a worldwide audience.Overview of the RoleThe Original Art Consignment Manager is responsible for identifying, securing, and managing consignments of original comic art, fantasy, game and movie artwork including vintage and modern pages, covers, published illustrations, and important works from leading artists.The position is highly relationship-driven and involves working directly with collectors and market participants to build a strong pipeline of consignments that contribute to the growth and reputation of Oberon Auctions.Location and Working ArrangementRemote / Home-based with travel.The role requires periodic travel to meet collectors, attend conventions, and represent Oberon Auctions at industry events and previews.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and secure high-quality comic art consignments from private collectors, artists, estates, galleries, and dealersAssess authenticity, significance, and condition when preparing estimates and consignment proposalsNegotiate consignment agreements in accordance with company guidelinesPrepare and review catalog descriptions and marketing materials for auction listingsPromote significant consignments to collectors and clients internationallyReview consignor settlements and coordinate with internal teams on financial processingAttend conventions, art fairs, and collector events to build relationships and identify new consignment opportunitiesCoordinate incoming consignments and assist with cataloging and auction preparationEnsure accuracy and completeness of consignment documentation and recordsFollow up with collectors and partners regarding potential consignments and ongoing opportunitiesAssist with previews, exhibitions, and other client-facing events where requiredExperienceMinimum five years of experience within the comic art market, ideally through an auction house, gallery, dealership, or advisory role working with collectors and original artwork.Skills and AttributesStrong understanding of the original comic art market, including key artists and historically significant worksAbility to build long-term relationships with collectors, dealers, and industry participantsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsStrong organizational ability and attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelConfidence representing the company publicly at industry events and collector gatheringsWorking EnvironmentThe position operates within a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment where initiative, commercial awareness, and strong client relationships are essential to success. xjdpvnf The role works closely with collectors and partners globally to bring exceptional comic art to auction and expand the reach of Oberon Auctions.
