Electrical Contracts ManagerBefore applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.Location: Belfast (Northern Ireland) Sector: Construction / Electrical / M&E Position Type: Full-Time, PermanentOverviewJDR is working in partnership with a well-established organisation within the construction sector to recruit an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager.Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking a self-motivated individual with strong leadership and organisational skills to oversee the successful delivery of multiple electrical projects.This role will involve managing projects across Northern Ireland, with occasional cross-border work in the Republic of Ireland.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality and technical standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Contract DeliveryDeliver multiple electrical projects simultaneously within agreed scope, programme, and budgetEnsure all works are completed to a high technical and quality standardPrepare and manage:Project initiation documentationProject programmes and schedulesProject budgetsHealth & Safety documentationCommercial & Contract ManagementOversee contract administration including:Issuing purchase ordersManaging applications for paymentControlling variations and changesMonitor financial performance across projects and ensure cost controlStakeholder & Client ManagementMaintain strong working relationships with:ClientsSubcontractorsInternal teamsAttend site and office-based meetings to review progress, challenges, and resolutionsProvide regular reports to senior managementHealth, Safety & ComplianceEnsure full compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory standardsPromote and maintain high health 'safety standards across all projectsLeadership & CoordinationLead and manage project teams, site managers, and subcontractorsCoordinate resources effectively to meet project deadlinesDrive performance and ensure successful project outcomesRequirementsExperienceMinimum 3+ years' experience as an Electrical Contracts ManagerExperience delivering multiple electrical projectsExperience within an M&E or electrical contracting environmentExperience working within Northern Ireland is desirableQualificationsElectrical qualification preferred (e.g. NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent)Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management abilityCommercial awareness with experience in budgeting and cost controlAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesSolid understanding of electrical systems and installationsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft OfficeAbility to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholdersAdditional InformationBased in Belfast office with regular site visits requiredProjects primarily across Northern Ireland with some travel to ROIFull UK driving licence requiredJDRBelfastWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
