Job Descriptionnn n n Job Introductionn Turning Point is a leading health and social care social enterprise, supporting people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, substance use, sexual health, and employment services.We are committed to delivering inclusive, secure, and resilient digital services that enable safe, effective outcomes for the people and communities we support.nTurning Point operates a complex hybrid IT environment spanning onpremises and cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.These platforms are critical to frontline service delivery and must meet high standards of availability, security, and operational assurance.nWe are now recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineering Manager, who will be responsible for the leadership, resilience, and continuous improvement of Turning Points core IT infrastructure services.This is a handson leadership role, accountable for translating strategic and architectural direction into highquality operational delivery across infrastructure, cloud, network, identity, and security platforms.nThe role offers flexible remote working, with occasional travel to key locations such as London or Manchester for collaboration, governance, and supplier engagement.nnMain ResponsibilitiesnnLead, manage, and develop the Infrastructure Engineering team, embedding a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.nProvide handson technical and operational leadership across infrastructure services, including compute, storage, networking, cloud platforms, identity, and core security services.nEnsure the availability, resilience, performance, and capacity of all infrastructure platforms, supported by effective monitoring, alerting, and proactive service management.nAct as the senior technical escalation point for complex or highimpact infrastructure incidents, leading root cause analysis and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and tracked.nTranslate enterprise architecture designs and technology roadmaps into secure, resilient, and supportable engineering solutions.nDefine, maintain, and enforce infrastructure engineering standards, patterns, documentation, and operational runbooks.nOversee incident, problem, and change activities within the infrastructure domain, ensuring alignment with ITILaligned service management processes.nManage hybrid and cloud infrastructure platforms, working closely with architecture and finance teams to support cost management, optimisation, and FinOps controls.nIdentify, assess, and manage infrastructure and technology risks, ensuring mitigations are implemented and escalated appropriately.nEnsure infrastructure services comply with organisational security policies, ISO27001 requirements, and vulnerability management processes.nBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, holding partners accountable for service quality, resilience, and contractual obligations.nAct as Operational Engineering Lead or Senior Supplier for infrastructurerelated projects, ensuring effective transition from project delivery into businessasusual operations.nnPlease see the attached JD for further information.nnIdeal CandidatenYou will be an experienced infrastructure leader with a strong background in delivering and operating secure, resilient IT infrastructure services within complex enterprise environments.nYou will bring:nnProven experience leading and developing infrastructure engineering teams, balancing strategic objectives with handson operational delivery.nStrong technical hands-on expertise across compute, networking, storage, identity, and security platforms, including cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.nA minimum of five years experience working in a senior infrastructure role across a diverse environment, including networks, cybersecurity, and architecture development.nExperience operating within IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL), with strong capability across incident, problem, and change management.nThe ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and effectively to nontechnical stakeholders, articulating business impact and risk.nStrong stakeholder and supplier management skills, with experience managing thirdparty performance and service assurance.nA calm, structured, and decisive approach, particularly when responding to highimpact incidents or operational challenges.nnExperience in cloud cost optimisation, FinOps practices, leadership development, or security assurance is desirable but not essential.nnWhy Join Us?nAs a leading health and social care provider with more than 300 locations across England, we take real pride in the services we offer.nWe run all of our services on a not-for-profit basis;
