Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Housing Officer include:Housing Management Delivery: Provide effective housing and tenancy management across allocated accommodationProperty Inspections: Conduct regular property checks to ensure compliance with housing standards and health and safety regulationsResident Support: Offer guidance, signposting and access to external services to support resident wellbeingTenancy Sustainment: Support residents to understand their rights and responsibilities and maintain successful tenanciesSafeguarding Responsibilities: Promote safeguarding and ensure the safety of residents and staff at all timesRisk Management: Maintain, review and communicate risk assessments and support plansVoid Management: Ensure void properties are prepared and re-let promptlyIncome Management: Maximise rent and service charge collectionRecord Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using internal systemsMulti-Agency Working: Liaise with local authorities, support services and stakeholders to coordinate supportHealth and Safety Compliance: Carry out safety inspections and respond to incidents in line with proceduresResident Engagement: Build positive relationships, motivate residents and support progression into independent accommodationCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSPrevious experience in housing management, tenancy support or supported housingExperience working with vulnerable individuals, including those with mental health or substance misuse needsKnowledge of safeguarding principles and risk assessment processesExperience managing anti-social behaviour and tenancy-related issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationshipsGood organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demandsExperience with record keeping, reporting and case management systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environmentUnderstanding of housing standards, health and safety and compliance requirementsA proactive, flexible and person-centred approach to supporting residentsThis role requires an Enhanced DBS checkHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
