Job Description ECHO Personnelis seeking a skilled and reliableVehicle Technicianto join our clients busy operationin Corby.Our client is a well-established industrial business operating a large commercial fleet, supporting essential production and logistics services across their site.THIS IS A PERMANENT ROLEThe role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing company commercial vehicles to Department of Transport standards, ensuring all vehicles are maintained safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Key Responsibilities:Inspecting, servicing, and repairing company fleet vehicles to Department of Transport standardsDiagnosing faults and rectifying reported driver defectsCarrying out routine maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial vehiclesRoad testing vehicles where necessary to confirm repairs or identify faultsTaking vehicles for MOT testing or to specialist workshops when requiredCollecting vehicle parts when deliveries cannot be arrangedAssisting with repairs and maintenance on forklifts and other associated equipment when neededCompleting all relevant service and maintenance documentation accuratelyCleaning vehicles and parts to enable repairs to be carried out effectivelyAttending vehicle breakdowns on-site and off-site when requiredProviding ad-hoc support and cover for the workshop supervisor when necessaryRequirements:Previous experience in a vehicle workshop or commercial vehicle maintenance environment is essentialCity & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering or a recognised equivalent qualificationExperience gained through a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent trainingCompetent in vehicle diagnostics and fault findingGood understanding of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair proceduresUnderstanding of Department of Transport operating requirementsLGV licence is desirable but not essentialKnowledge of bulk pressure systems is desirable but not essentialEducated to GCSE level or equivalentReliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practicesSHIFT:06:00 18:00 (MondayFriday)Pay Rate:47,000 per year25 days holiday + Bank HolidaysIf you are interested, please apply by submitting your CV.JBRP1_UKTJ
