Job Description Mechanical Estimator | Building Services | Romsey | 300 375 per day | CIS / Ltd CompanyThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a respected M&E Building Services contractor delivering projects from 100k to 5m on a contract basis.The business is seeking a technically capable Mechanical Estimator who can prepare accurate and commercially robust tenders across a varied portfolio of building services projects. The role offers the opportunity to work with an established contractor delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical installations across multiple sectors.About the CompanyThe company is a well-established M&E Building Services contractor delivering mechanical and electrical installations across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, leisure, and public sector environments. Known for their technical capability and consistent project delivery, the business has developed strong relationships with clients and consultants across the region.Their projects include full mechanical building services installations such as HVAC systems, plantrooms, heating and chilled water systems, ventilation, pipework, and public health services.The RoleAs Mechanical Estimator, you will take responsibility for preparing mechanical building services tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and project handover.You will review drawings and specifications, produce accurate take-offs, obtain supplier quotations, and ensure tenders are commercially competitive while maintaining strong technical accuracy.Projects typically range from 100k through to larger multi-million-pound installations across sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and fit-out environments.This role would suit candidates currently working as: Mechanical Estimator, Senior Mechanical Estimator, Building Services Estimator, M&E Estimator, or Mechanical Pre-Construction Estimator.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing mechanical building services tenders from drawings and specificationsProducing accurate take-offs and cost plansPricing HVAC systems, plantrooms, heating systems, chilled water systems, ventilation, pipework, and public health servicesObtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotationsReviewing tender documentation and identifying value engineering opportunitiesSupporting commercial review and risk analysis of tendersEnsuring smooth handover to project delivery teams following successful tendersAbout YouProven experience operating as a Mechanical Estimator within an M&E Building Services contractor environmentStrong technical understanding of HVAC, pipework, plantrooms, heating, ventilation, and mechanical systemsExperience pricing building services projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, or fit-outStrong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and commercially robust tendersExperience using estimating software such as would be advantageousEngagement Terms Mechanical Estimator300 375 per day Engagement via CIS or Limited Company Long-Term Contract Opportunity Immediate or Short Notice Start AvailableNext StepsPlease apply online today, or contact Rob at David Leslie Ltd for an informal and confidential discussion.About David Leslie LtdDavid Leslie Ltd is a family-run construction recruitment consultancy with over 20 years experience connecting professionals and employers across the UK.
