Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Finance Administrator toprovide operational cash administrative support to the finance function and Carey Olsen's associated businesses. This is a full time role based in our Southampton office. Benefits include: Competitive salary Discretionary bonus scheme 25 days annual leave with the ability to buy or sell up to 5 days per financial year Pension Private medical insurance from 1st day of employment with previous conditions disregarded Permanent health insurance Life assurance Principal duties include: Process payments quickly and accurately Record and reconcile all incoming and outgoing funds Manage client monies in line with local regulations, including interest calculations and statement preparation Prepare daily cash reports and reconciliations across multiple currencies Ensure unallocated cash is cleared promptly and correctly Resolve bank reconciliation issues by working with internal teams Support cashflow forecasting and carry out FX trades as directed Post journals and complete monthly foreign exchange revaluations Keep desktop procedures up to date and audit-ready Assist with internal and external audits Identify and support improvements to systems and processes Build strong working relationships with partners, fee earners, Finance, and external banking providers The ideal candidate will: Minimum of 5 years experience in a banking or cash operations function Strong working knowledge of banking platforms, banking file formats, and financial reconciliation processes Extensive understanding of banking and cash operations procedures Prior experience with 3E / Elite Enterprise is advantageous Proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Confident in analysing data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Quick to learn new systems, tools, and procedures Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively Motivated, proactive, and demonstrates a strong can-do approach Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal ability We operate a 35 hour working week with 60 minutes for lunch standard working hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm.
