Job Description About the CompanyWe are a growing multi-channel ecommerce import/export business based in Ramsgate, Kent. Our products are sold across multiple online marketplaces and ecommerce platforms, with international suppliers and a growing customer base across the UK and beyond.The business currently has a team of 6 people and is entering its next stage of growth. As the company scales, we are looking for an Operations Manager / Head of Operations to take ownership of day-to-day operations, improve systems and processes, and help build the operational infrastructure needed for continued growth.This is a key role reporting directly to the founder and offers the opportunity to play a significant part in shaping how the business operates.The RoleThis role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business, ensuring everything runs efficiently across ecommerce channels, inventory management, suppliers, logistics, and the internal team.You will also lead efforts to improve processes, implement systems, and build operational structure as the company continues to grow.This role would suit someone who enjoys bringing organisation and structure to a growing business and making operational improvements that have a real impact.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementOversee the day-to-day running of the ecommerce operationCoordinate inventory management and supplier orderingEnsure smooth order fulfilment and logistics processesMonitor customer service performance and issue resolutionSystems & Process DevelopmentBuild and document operational processes and workflows (SOPs)Implement systems to improve efficiency and visibilityIntroduce structured task management across the teamIdentify opportunities for automation and improvementReporting & Performance TrackingCreate and maintain operational dashboards and reportsMonitor key metrics including sales, inventory levels and operational performanceProvide regular operational updates to the founderTeam CoordinationManage and support the existing teamRun regular operational meetingsImprove communication, accountability and workflow managementContinuous ImprovementIdentify operational bottlenecks and implement solutionsImprove supplier coordination and logistics efficiencyHelp build scalable operational systems to support business growthRequirementsEssential5+ years experience in operations, ecommerce operations or business operationsStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsExperience improving processes and implementing systemsAbility to manage and coordinate a small teamComfortable analysing operational data and KPIsProactive mindset and ability to take ownershipDesirableExperience working in an ecommerce or marketplace environmentKnowledge of Amazon, Shopify or multi-channel ecommerce platformsExperience with inventory management or supply chain operationsExperience working in a growing small businessWhat We OfferCompetitive salary depending on experienceA key leadership role in a growing ecommerce businessOpportunity to shape operational systems and processesDirect collaboration with the founderFuture progression opportunities as the company growsLocationRamsgate, Kent Salary35,000 55,000 per year depending on experience
