Job Description HSE Manager / Health & Safety Manager (Manufacturing) Site-Based | MondayFriday Permanent Position Reporting to: Factory ManagerWe are currently recruiting for an experienced HSE Manager / Health & Safety Manager to lead all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities at a busy manufacturing site.This is an excellent opportunity for a NEBOSH qualified HSE professional with experience in manufacturing environments who is passionate about driving health 'safety improvements, regulatory compliance, and environmental performance.You will play a key role in developing and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, ensuring the site operates safely while promoting a strong safety-first culture across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE / EHS / SHE) activities on siteMaintain and improve ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systemsEnsure compliance with UK HSE legislation and environmental regulationsConduct risk assessments, safety audits, inspections and incident investigationsManage chemical safety systems including COMAH, DSEAR and ATEX processesOversee contractor management and emergency preparedness proceduresDeliver and coordinate Health & Safety training, inductions and awareness programmesMaintain safety documentation including safety statements, fire safety registers and training recordsManage environmental monitoring, waste management compliance and reportingPrepare reports for the Environment Agency and other regulatory bodiesProvide guidance and coaching to managers and employees to improve site safety performanceSupport and develop the EHS OfficerRequirementsNEBOSH Certificate or Diploma (essential)Experience working as an HSE Manager, Health & Safety Manager, EHS Manager or SHE ManagerManufacturing or industrial environment experienceKnowledge of UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislationExperience with COMAH regulations and chemical managementStrong communication and organisational skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office / IT systemsDesirableDegree in Health & Safety or related disciplineExperience managing ISO management systemsExperience working with regulatory bodies or environmental reporting
