Job Description At St Austell Brewery, wedontjust make great beer we also operatemulti award winning managed and operator-led pub estate.Werelooking for a Junior Finance Business Partner tojoinour finance teamsupport our puboperations. This role blends core accounting with commercial insight in a fast-paced, operational environment. You will play a key role in turning financial data into insight, helping our pubs perform at their best.Youlltake ownership of key elements of the period close and monthly reporting cycle, ensuring financial data isaccurate, controlled, and delivered on time.Key ResponsibilitiesLead period-end close activities including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliationsEnsure a robust balance sheet, with fully reconciled and understood positionsProduce monthly P&L reporting, scorecards, and performance analysisSupport bonus and performance processes, including accruals and calculationsMaintain strong financial controls across systems (till data, stock, banking, vendor processes)Partner with Operations, Payroll,APand Systems to resolve queries and improve data qualityProvide insight and commentary to support decision-making and profitabilitySupport Finance Business Partners with forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviewsAbout youDetail-focused witha strong senseof ownership and accountabilityProactive and solutions-driven, with the confidence to challenge and improveStrong communicator, able to work effectively with operational stakeholdersOrganised and able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environmentCommercially aware, with an interest in how finance supports business performanceYour experiencePart-qualified or qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA or similar), or relevant degreeExperience in management accounting, including period-end close, journals, accruals,prepaymentsand reconciliationsStrong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, handling large datasets)Experience working in a commercial or multi-site environment (desirable)Proven ability to analyse data and solve problems effectivelyWhat we offer in return25 days annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays)Company bonus scheme30% discount on food & drink within our managed pubs & Visitors Centre shop50% discount on accommodation within the managed estateFantastic training & career development opportunitiesPension Scheme 4% Employee and Employer.
