Job Description Were working with a fast-growing renewable energy developer looking to hire a Senior PPA Energy Markets & Commercial Analyst to help shape the commercial strategy behind a growing pipeline of renewable generation, battery storage and data centre projects.This role sits at the intersection of power market analysis, revenue modelling and commercial structuring, with a key focus on securing routes to market and negotiating offtake agreements.If you enjoy analysing how power markets evolve and turning that insight into bankable revenue strategies, this could be a great fit.The RoleYoull play a key role in analysing electricity market developments and supporting the structuring of commercial agreements that underpin project revenues.Key responsibilities include:Market Analysis & InsightMonitor developments across GB power markets including wholesale markets, balancing markets, ancillary services and capacity mechanisms.Track regulatory and market reforms that may impact project revenues.Develop and maintain revenue stack models for renewable and battery storage projects.Produce market intelligence and insights to support senior leadership and investment decisions.Commercial Structuring & OfftakeSupport the structuring and negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other offtake arrangements.Engage with utilities, energy traders and corporate offtakers to explore routes to market.Evaluate commercial structures including merchant optimisation, tolling agreements and structured PPAs.Support the commercial evaluation of co-location opportunities such as renewable + storage or private wire arrangements.Project Development SupportProvide commercial input to development teams on revenue potential and contracting strategy.Support financial modelling with market assumptions and revenue projections.Contribute to investment committee papers and project business cases.What Theyre Looking For5+ years experience in GB power markets, ideally within renewable energy or energy infrastructure.Experience supporting or participating in PPA or power offtake negotiations.Strong understanding of electricity market revenue streams including wholesale markets, balancing markets and ancillary services.Familiarity with renewable generation, battery energy storage and large energy demand assets such as data centres.Strong analytical capability and commercial awareness.Ability to communicate complex market dynamics to both commercial and technical stakeholders.Why This Role?Youll join a team working on a significant development pipeline across renewable generation, storage and energy infrastructure helping ensure projects secure robust, bankable revenue strategies in an evolving power market.If this sounds interesting, feel free to get in touch for a confidential conversation.
