Job Description NEW OPPORTUNITYRole: Insurance Broker / Protection AdviserLocation: EssexTenure: Full-Time | Hybrid Proper Recruitment are delighted to be working with a growing brokerage in Essex, seeking a motivated Protection Adviser to provide tailored protection advice (Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection, Home/Buildings & Contents) to individuals, families and company directors. Youll thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, delivering outstanding service while helping clients secure financial peace of mind. This role is hybrid working role.Responsibilities:Consult with clients to understand their protection needs, lifestyle and financial goalsProvide whole-of-market or panel-based advice across Life, CI, IP and Home/Buildings & Contents insurancePrepare quotes, comparisons and clear recommendations aligned to client requirementsEnsure full compliance with FCA/network guidelines and internal proceduresMaintain strong product knowledge and keep up with industry changesBuild long-term client relationships through exceptional service and timely follow-upAchieve and exceed personal and team-based sales targets and KPIsMaintain accurate records; submit applications via CRM and insurer portalsHandle policy amendments, renewals and post-sale client queriesRequirements:12+ years experience in insurance, financial services or protection sales (ideally advised)Strong knowledge of Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection and Home insurance productsExcellent communication, rapport-building and objection-handling skillsTarget-driven, self-motivated; able to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with FCA requirements and working in a regulated environmentConfident using CRM systems and insurer portalsCeMAP, R05 or equivalent qualifications (or ability to trade)Benefits:Competitive base salary with generous commission structureAccess to high-quality, warm leads from established mortgage businessesOngoing training, CPD and support from experienced team leadersClear career progression and support towards industry qualificationsFlexible working options (office-based/hybrid subject to experience)Supportive, team-oriented culture focused on integrity and customer outcomesPensionCompetitive Holiday EntitlementHR & Wellbeing ServicesCompany Events / Mentoring & CoachingHybridSalary:30,00035,000 base + commission [OTE 75,000+ First Year Rising to close to 100,000 Year 2]If you are a motivated individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.
