This is a senior supervisory role responsible for the effective management, compliance and development of the firms Family Law Department.The successful candidate will oversee complex family law cases, provide supervision and guidance to solicitors and support staff, and ensure the highest standards of client care and regulatory compliance are maintained. The role requires a confident and capable leader with substantial experience in financial remedy proceedings, private children matters and public law children work, together with a strong understanding of Legal Aid Agency (LAA) requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Law Supervisor to play a key role in leading and developing a busy and reputable family law practice.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and supervise all family law matters across both legal aid and privately funded cases.Provide formal supervision and mentoring to solicitors, trainees and support staff in accordance with LAA and SRA requirements.Manage and guide complex family law matters, including:Financial remedy proceedingsChild Arrangements mattersNon-Molestation OrdersCare ProceedingsEnsure full compliance with the standards of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency, as well as all professional obligations.Review and approve legal aid applications, statements, court documentation and case strategies.Maintain high standards of file management, supervision records and audit readiness.Conduct regular team meetings, supervision sessions and performance reviews.Develop and deliver training and ongoing professional development within the department.Act as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent client care and communication.Promote best practice, efficiency and a positive, collaborative working environment.Requirements:Qualified Solicitor of England and Wales.Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in family law.Proven experience working as a Family Law Supervisor.Demonstrable experience handling both legal aid and privately funded family law matters.Extensive experience in financial remedy proceedings, Child Arrangements matters, Non-Molestation Orders and Care Proceedings.Member of, or accredited by, the The Law Society Family Panel.Strong knowledge of Legal Aid Agency compliance and supervisory requirements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving abilities.Commitment to client-focused service, professional integrity and high-quality legal work. xjdpvnf Ability to lead, motivate and support a team within a busy legal practice.
