Mechanical Technician Power StationIf the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.Up to 48,000 + benefits GloucestershireSCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance department of an energy from waste power station near Gloucester.This role focuses on delivering safe, reliable mechanical maintenance across the plant, supporting availability, efficiency and long-term asset performance. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure all mechanical equipment is maintained to a high standard.The role will involve:Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on rotating and static plant equipmentMaintenance and overhaul of pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors and associated systemsCarrying out fault-finding, defect rectification and first-line repairsCompleting maintenance activities in line with site procedures, permits and isolation requirementsUpdating maintenance records and work orders within the CMMSSupporting outages and shutdown activities as requiredWorking alongside specialist contractors and equipment vendorsMaintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeepingTo be considered for this role, you should have:A recognised mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a completed apprenticeshipExperience working in an industrial or process environment such as biomass, power generation, CHP, EfW or marine xjdpvnf engineering from the NavyStrong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance experienceAbility to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary site teamA strong understanding of safe systems of work and permit-to-work proceduresWhats on offer:Competitive salary up to 48,000Company pensionOvertime Ongoing training and developmentFor further information or to apply please contact Steve Utton at SCINERGY Recruitment on
