Field Service Engineer (Agricultural & Plant Fitter)Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.Salary: 35,000 40,000 (OTE 45,000+ with overtime & callouts) Location: Cardigan, Wales Hours: Monday Friday, 08:00 17:00 Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentBenefits & PerksOvertime paid at 1.75x1-in-4 weekend callout rotaCompany van for field engineering work, plus fuel card, tools & full PPEPension schemeOngoing manufacturer training across leading agricultural brandsExposure to a wide range of modern agtech & plant systemsBalanced 60/40 field-to-workshop split20 days annual leave + bank holidaysThe RoleAs a Mobile Agricultural Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery and supporting plant equipment. Youll work on everything from tractors, telehandlers and balers to combines, sprayers, implements and onfarm excavators.This is a varied role with a strong focus on field-based diagnostics, supporting farms across Wales to minimise downtime and keep machinery running during peak seasons.Your key responsibilities include:Responding to urgent onfarm breakdowns and carrying out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairsPerforming scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on agricultural machineryDiagnosing faults across engines, hydraulics, CANbus, PTO systems, transmissions and electricsRepairing and maintaining implements such as mowers, cultivators, trailers, balers and spreadersCompleting service sheets, inspection forms and accurate maintenance reportsSupporting workshop repairs including rebuilds, overhauls and pre-season machinery preparationAttending farm sites across Wales as part of the mobile service teamWhat Were Looking ForBackground as an Agricultural Engineer, Agricultural Fitter, Farm Machinery Technician or similarStrong understanding of agricultural machinery systems including hydraulics, diesel xjdpvnf engines and electrical diagnosticsExperience working with tractors, telehandlers, combines or modern agtech systemsRelevant industry qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship or equivalent)Ability to work independently on both mobile and workshop-based engineering tasksFull UK Driving LicenceSimilar Roles: Agricultural Engineer, Farm Machinery Technician, Mobile Agricultural Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Plant & Agri TechnicianInterested?Contact Reegan on our Technical & Engineering team at Interaction Recruitment on (phone number removed) to discuss this role or explore similar opportunities
