We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.The below job description will outline this position of: Technical SuperintendentTypically, this person will ensuring all shipboard mechanical / electrical machinery and navigation electronics are operated and maintained in a safe, efficient manner.HSB Technicals client is a very established and well-regarded business entity.Duties and responsibilities of the Technical Superintendent:Have full budgetary responsibility of assigned vessels - making sure they are always operational, safe, and efficientEnsure planned vessel inspections are carried out, including preparation of the vessel for appropriate class/flag inspectionsTake the lead on ensuring everyday maintenance & physical Repairs, dry docks - and making sure this work is carried out to the required industry standardsBe a Technical Vessel expert to support land-based, and on-board personnel Qualifications and requirement for the Technical Superintendent:Someone with existing shoreside experience in a similar post, coupled with a background to 2nd Engineer and above, or a strong Ship Repair backgroundAny additional Electrical Engineering exposure and ability to read electrical drawings is very advantageousA problem solver that comes up with realistic solutionsExcellent communicatorGood eye for detail and report-writing skillsMust have the immediate right to live and work in the UK This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role.JBRP1_UKTJ
