Job Description Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading organisation within the Nuclear sector, to recruit an Electrical Technician for its Berkshire site.The Electrical Technician role comes with a 18-month minimum contract operating under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and the opportunity to work on a busy and safety-critical site.If you're an Electrical Technician and are looking to work for an organisation that puts integrity and people at the forefront of everything it does, then submit your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Technician roleCompetently perform the duties of a qualified technician as part of a team engaged in installation, modification, maintenance, repair, testing and trials of electrical systems and equipmentCarry out installation activities in accordance with relevant drawings and Safe Systems of WorkSupport operations including testing and trialsUndertake maintenance and repair tasksCarry out support installation, modification, EMIT (Examination, Maintenance, Inspection & Test) and decommissioning activities as requiredWork from schematics, diagrams and engineering drawings to install equipmentInstall systems and equipment in compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative requirementsComplete and maintain all associated records and documentationProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Completion of a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent trainingCity & Guilds Level 3 certification in Electrical EngineeringIET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualificationExperience in electrical installation, examination, maintenance, inspection & test and decommissioningFully conversant with IEE RegulationsExperience working in site and/or factory environmentsWork experience within engineering, science or construction environmentsDesirable:Experience working on a nuclear licensed site or similar high-hazard environmentPersonal SkillsThe Electrical Technician role would suit someone who is:Safety-focused and able to work within strict Safe Systems of WorkDetail-oriented and capable of working accurately from technical drawingsComfortable working in regulated, high-hazard environmentsA strong team player with the ability to follow project instructions effectivelyRate and benefits of the Electrical Technician role18-month minimum contractOperating under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)38.17 per hourOpportunity to work on a high-profile Nuclear site in BerkshireIf you are interested in finding out more, you can call Adam on 02392 288289 or email .#LI-AN1Astute People are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
