Job Description Estimator - Construction (Build)Hythe, KentUp to 55,000 inclusive of package An established and growing main contractor based in Hythe, Kent is looking to recruit an Estimator to join its build division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 4 years' estimating experience within the construction sector who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking team.This role focuses on build projects, working across a varied portfolio.The Role:Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissionsReviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentationConducting take-offs and producing Bills of Quantities where requiredLiaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotationsSupporting the commercial and project delivery teamsAssisting with value engineering and cost planningThe Ideal Candidate:Minimum 4 years' experience in a construction estimating role (build sector)Strong understanding of construction processes and materialsGood knowledge of pricing software and Microsoft OfficeExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat's on Offer:Salary up to 55,000 depending on experienceOpportunity to work on a variety of interesting build projectsSupportive team environmentGenuine opportunity for career progressionHybrid working offered (2 days a week from home) after a 3 month settling in period.
