Job Description HGV MechanicLocation: HartshillSalary: Competitive Salary + Benefits (45,000 - 47,000)Shifts: Monday - Friday With The Occasional Saturday We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic on behalf of a well-established industrial and manufacturing business with multiple sites across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable company operating within essential sectors including food production, agriculture, and renewable energy.The successful candidate will join a busy transport and maintenance team responsible for ensuring vehicles and trailers are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards.The RoleAs an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of HGV vehicles and trailers to ensure reliability and compliance.Key responsibilities include:Inspecting, servicing, and repairing HGV vehicles and trailersCarrying out pre-MOT inspections in line with DVSA/VOSA standardsDiagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs efficientlyCompleting required maintenance documentation and paperworkMaintaining high standards of garage housekeeping and safetySupporting with additional workshop duties when requiredThe CandidateTo be considered for this role, you should have:Industry recognised qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)Previous HGV mechanical experienceA full UK driving licence (HGV Class C+E desirable but not essential)Strong mechanical diagnostic skillsGood knowledge of health 'safety proceduresStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBenefitsCompetitive salaryStable long-term employmentOpportunity to work within a well-established organisationSupportive team environmentIf you are an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic looking for your next opportunity, apply today to discuss this position further.JBRP1_UKTJ
